Meet our EuRobotiq Team - The interview

How did you start working with Robotiq?

Adina-Teusan-portraitMy family and I immigrated to Québec in 2013, as my husband was born and raised here. After a 2-year stint in my first job in Quebec City, I decided to study marketing—something I’d always wanted to do. So there I was, going back to university, determined to make the most of this opportunity. I was nearing the end of my studies when a family friend told my partner about job openings at a promising company, Robotiq.

Luckily for me, one of those openings was for an Inside Sales Specialist to work with European customers. I’m a European by birth and upbringing. I jumped on the opportunity to work at a tech start-up with a bright future, doing what I know and love: selling across different cultures. That’s how this chapter of my life started, and I’m so glad it has worked out so well.

What do you work on? What does that mean for the world?

As an Inside Sales Specialist, I team up with Robotiq partners in Northern Europe to help them create solutions for manufacturers. I try to understand customers' needs and requirements and provide them with valuable robotics information so that they can push their automation projects forward, free their workforce from repetitive tasks, and start production faster.

Why do I love it? Because we work with wonderful people, our distributors are fantastic, our customers are fascinating, and together with my team we really make success happen.

What are your biggest values?

Teusan-Adina-kidHonesty, punctuality, keeping promises, treating everyone how I would like to be treated, being compassionate and approachable, seeing actions through, and being there for my friends and family. I think of myself as a caring person and I try to teach the importance of caring, both for others and for yourself, to my kids. I believe that good things happen in this world when we take care of each other.

What do you do when you’re not working?

I love taking long walks in the countryside, taking a break from the city and spending time with my children. In my spare time, I especially enjoy working on being in the now and practicing mindful living. I try to take as much time as I can to meditate, walk without a destination, ease the pressure to “do something,” and make time for simply living at nature’s pace. My resolution is to give more to others who are in need—more of my time, my friendship, and my help.

I know this all makes me sound quite stern, but don’t be fooled! I love a good joke. Life is indeed better when we’re laughing.
