There's so much to see @ Automate 2017!
Here are the sights that really impressed us on Day 4...
First, we marveled at the Smash My Trash exhibit, which has a robot arm that looks like something Godzilla would use to give himself a back massage...
Then we saw AmbaFlex's mesmerizing spiral conveyor...
You know, you start a conference with several pairs of sensible socks. But then they keep getting blown off by cutting-edge technology and you end up like this:
This should win a graphic design competition...
We stopped by KUKA's booth to see their iiwa in action...
We really liked the soft, pneumatic gripper being used on one of Fanuc's cobots. The design makes this gripper ideally-suited to food industry applications, because it won't damage produce and is easy to wash.
We caught some video of it in action:
Overall, our favorite robot from this year was the tic tac toe cobot from yesterday, which featured a nice integration of the Robotiq 2-Finger Adaptive Gripper.
That's it from our live-blogging team @ Automate 2017!
We hope you enjoyed the show. We enjoyed bringing it to you.
Thanks to everyone who came to the Robotiq booth. It was a pleasure to meet you.
We're all packed up and ready to go...
Enjoy this video montage from Madison College from the event...
...and we hope to see you next year!
