Robotiq Adaptive Grippers with Fanuc CRX Robots - General Informations

Installation, control, and dual setup instructions for Fanuc CRX integrators

Context

This article is for Fanuc CRX integrators looking to install and control Robotiq Adaptive Grippers on CRX collaborative robots. Readers are expected to be familiar with Fanuc CRX robots and KAREL programming.

 

Compatible Robotiq Adaptive Grippers & Kits

The connection is made using modbus RTU at the wrist of the robot. 

The bolt pattern of Fanuc CRX is same as UR: 50 mm PCD with 4 x M6 threads. So our E-Series coupling (GRP-ES-CPL-062) can be used to make the connection at the wrist. Connector and pinout match Fanuc CRX.

The following Robotiq Adaptive Grippers are compatible with Fanuc CRX robots:

Hand-E

  • Single Gripper Kit: HND-CRX-KIT

  • Dual Kit (X bracket): CRX-DUAL-X-HND

  • Dual Kit (Y bracket): CRX-DUAL-HND

Hand-E C10

  • Single Gripper Kit: HND-C10-CRX-KIT

  • Dual Kit (X bracket): CRX-DUAL-X-HND-C10

About Robotiq Adaptive Grippers

Robotiq Adaptive Grippers offer programmable control over position, speed, and force. These grippers also provide object detection and finger position feedback, increasing both flexibility and reliability in robotic applications.

Typical use cases:

One or two grippers can be installed on the CRX robot arm using the corresponding kits.
