Knowledge
We have five Adaptive grippers. Three of them are 2 finger grippers and two of them are three-finger gripper.
Lets begin with the 2 Fingers grippers :
What is the size range of the grippers?
What is the payload range of the grippers?
What is the part detection resolution of the grippers?
How to grip?
What are the other characteristics?
For most applications, both grippers could be used as long as the payload and stroke fit your need. However, the Hand-E has a significant advantage with its IP 67 rating. It is perfectly suited for machine tending applications where lots of liquids could come into contact with the grippers. While the 2F grippers work perfectly for most machine tending applications, if lots of liquid can come into contact with the gripper, the Hand-E would be a better choice.
If IP rating isn't important in your application, then the stroke and the flexibility of the 2F might be a better choice.
Then we have the Hand-E C10 :
What are the characteristics?
And the last one is the 3F Gripper :
What are the characteristics?
All of the grippers are working in MODBUS RTU but can be compatible with other protocols by using a universal controller. Discover how it works here.
On UR Robot, we have some plugin to control easily the grippers. You can find some videos on how to install and control them here : E-Learning
