How to Add an Extra Warranty to Robotiq Plug and Play Items ?

Instructions for adding an optional warranty extension

Context

Robotiq P&P items come with a standard 12-month warranty. This article explains how to include an extra warranty when ordering Robotiq plug and play (P&P) items. The extra warranty must be added at the time of purchase and cannot be applied retroactively.

 

Eligibility and Limitations

  • The Extra Warranty applies only to P&P items.

  • It must be purchased at the same time as the original product order.

  • It cannot be added once the purchase order (PO) is completed.

How to Include the Extra Warranty

  1. When placing a Sales Order (SO), add the following SKU for each P&P item requiring an extended warranty:

    • SKU: EXTRA WARRANTY

    • Description: 12 months extra warranty on P&P items

  2. The extra warranty cost is calculated at 15% of the P&P list price, per unit, per additional year.

  3. Make sure the warranty SKU appears on the same SO as the associated P&P items.

 

Conclusion

To extend the warranty on Robotiq P&P items, the EXTRA WARRANTY SKU must be added during the initial sales order. This process ensures proper warranty tracking and support coverage.
