Why You Should Check Out Our Interactive Components Demo @Automatica

Written by Alex Owen-Hill | Jun 21, 2022 2:56 PM

If you're at Automatica this year, be sure to swing by our booth and check out our interactive components demo! (and if you're not at Automatica… this post is the next best thing!)

This year, we have an entire interactive selection of our popular Robotiq components. From our classic 2 Finger Grippers to our Wrist Camera, you can test out the components for yourself.

You can even have a wrestling match with AirPick!

You'll be able to operate them yourself and imagine how they can be integrated into your manufacturing process.

Our main focus this year is on the 3 application demonstrations that we'll publish posts about over the next few days, but the components demo is a good way to see our "classic" components (many of which other exhibitors are using at their booths this year).

Why visit our components demo?

So why should you visit our booth and try out our demo?

Here are 4 good reasons:

  1. You can get a feel for the components as you make your decision about which robotic components might be right for you. Try before you buy – it's the best way to be sure that any product is right. And Automatica is a great way to test out a huge range of exciting products.
  2. You can see how the components work together. Our 3 application demos show you how the gripper, camera and other components can be used in harmony to create a complete solution.
  3. You can meet the team and ask us any questions. We're experts in automation and we're happy to help you find the right solution for your needs.
  4. You can have fun! We want you to enjoy your time at our booth, and our interactive demo is a great way to do that.

The 8 Components Demos You Can Play With @Automatica

We've devoted most of the space in this year's booth to our our application kits, but we have set up an interactive table where you can "play" with our classic components. It's a bit like those interactive demos kids play with in museums… sort of.

Here's what you can find at the table.

The 4 Classics: Robotiq Grippers

Robotiq grippers are the cornerstone of our product range. We have 3 types of grippers on display, each with their own strengths.

The 2F-85 is our most popular gripper and can handle a wide variety of objects. We've set it up in two different configurations: alone and attached to an arm.

Our 3 Finger gripper is most often used in research and education settings. It is unique in that you can program the gripper to open and close in different ways depending on the needs of your application.

The Hand-E precision gripper can handle delicate items. It's also got an Ingress Protection rating, meaning it can operate in dusty or wet environments.

The 2 Pneumatics: Vacuum Grippers

Vacuum grippers are becoming very popular these days, particularly for logistics applications (which we're seeing a lot of here at Automatica).

We have 2 vacuum grippers: EPick, which has a single suction cup, and AirPick which has 4 suction cups and uses an external pneumatic supply.

The AirPick is quite strong. If you're at Automatica, come along to the booth and try to see if you can pull the object away from it!

The 2 Sensors: FT300 and Camera

Finally, we have our 2 sensors: the Force-Torque sensor and Wrist Camera.

At the last Automatica in 2018, the Wrist Camera was the centerpiece of our booth. However, this year it features less strongly as we've focused on our new Machine Tending, Screwdriving, and Palletizing solutions.

Tomorrow, we'll show you one of our exciting application kit demos!

And if you're at Automatica come and visit us at booth Hall B4.502.
