Screw Insertion Using Robotiq Camera

Our application engineer Tyler_Berryman was curious to see if he could use the vision system to find the holes in a part. He tried teaching the M6 holes to the vision system, but had to get very close to the part and this was limiting the field of view of the camera. So he decided to teach the entire part to the vision system, and used an IF statement to teach several hole positions instead. He used a pallet function to pick up the 4 screws from the jig, and used 4 IF statements to tell the robot where to insert the screws. In the demonstration above, he is inserting the screws clockwise into the mechanical coupling. Do you have an application that this could be useful for?

Robotiq Product Weights - Define the Right Combo

The robot payload is often very important to take into consideration in your application. The End-of-arm tooling is important to consider as it can reduce considerably your robot payload. Take a look at the approximate weight of each Robotiq product here. In fact, when defining your application, you must remove the tooling weight from your robot payload and add a safety factor to ensure the best reliability of your application. Get in on the conversation here.

Bottle Packaging With UR and Robotiq Gripper

Take a look at a demo from Numatic of a bottle packaging application. For this application they used between the Force Torque Sensor and the Gripper a tool changer on the robot to facilitate the switch of end effectors. Do you have an application in mind where you need to consider the ease of changing tools between applications?

How Do You Like Your Seminars?

At  Robotiq, we believe a seminar is the perfect opportunity to teach and learn some new or improved skills. Our event coordinator Fanny_Borgeat would like to have your opinion on it. What do you expect of a good seminar? Is there something in particular that stood out to you in previous seminars you attended? Let us know!
