Installing the 3-Finger Gripper on the Wrist Camera 

 
Some end-users have asked for it and we have finally come up with a solution to install Robotiq's 3-Finger Gripper on the Wrist Camera. For this setup you need the Wrist Camera's tool plate RWC-TOOL-062 (provided with the UR Kit), an adapter plate for the 3-Finger AGS-APL-173 and the usual 3-Finger coupling AGS-CPL-101. Automotive Hood Lifting and Closing With Collaborative Robot

A Pro is looking for methods to improve the ergonomic conditions for team members who must open and close the hood many times per shift causing shoulder issues. It was suggested to him that a collaborative robot could be the solution, but his experience with them is very limited. He would like to hear some opinions on the viability of this idea, possible unit types, cost estimates, and any other caveats. Welding with UR Robots  

A Pro has several clients asking about welding possibilities with the UR. His main concern is the durability and reliability of such a system. He saw videos like this one below where they place foils on top of the joint covers to make like a Faraday cage and therefore preventing electromagnetic noises to interfere with the servos.
