Six Surprising Uses of Force Sensors in Research

Force sensors are often used in robotics research. Normally we just use them to implement things like force control or to gather experimental data. Sure, that's great, but it's not very interesting, is it? Researchers are an inventive group of people. They sometimes use technology in surprising ways.
