Manual Task Mapping
One trap we too often fall into is starting to look for a solution without having clearly defined the problem. We jump back and forth between trying to understand the current the process, suggesting technical way of doing it with a robot and very soon it becomes confusing.
In Lean Robotics, we start the robotic cell design by a manual task map, which is a static snapshot of the starting point from which we will work to improve. Capturing this information will save you time in the later phases.
The Manual Task Mapping Template will help you gather all the relevant info about your manual process. We’ve also included an example of a manual task mapping to validate your work. Fill-in the form on the right to get the Manual Task Mapping resources.
When you’ve completed this exercise, tell us more about your process and contact us.
