      How to Update your Robot's Polyscope software with your Robotiq Palletizing Solution

      Step-by-step instructions for safely updating your UR Polyscope software

      Context:
      This article explains how to download, prepare, and install a new version of Polyscope on your UR robot.

      Important: Update Polyscope only when it is truly necessary. If your robot is used with a Robotiq Palletizing Solution, always contact our Support Team first to verify compatibility between your Polyscope version and the Copilot URCap. We may have important information to help you avoid issues. No technical expertise is required — just follow each step carefully.


      Information:

      1. Download the Polyscope file

        • Click on this link: Download Polyscope.

        • Inside the CB-Series or e-Series folder, find the version you need, right-click, and download it to your computer.

           

      2. Copy the file to a blank USB drive

        • Plug a clean (empty) USB drive into your computer.

        • Copy the .urup file you just downloaded to the USB drive.

        • Do not rename or change the file.

      3. Insert the USB drive into the robot

        • Remove the USB drive safely from your computer.

        • Plug it into a free USB port on your UR Teach Pendant or inside the UR controller.

      4. Open the Update menu on the robot

        • On the Teach Pendant, tap the ☰ (hamburger menu) at the top right corner.

        • Go to Settings > System > Update.

      5. Search for the update file

        • In the Update sub-menu, tap Search.

        • You might need to tap Search a few times until you see your .urup file appear in the list.

      6. Install the software update

        • Tap Update, then Install Software.

        • The robot will reboot automatically and start installing.

        • This can take 15–20 minutes — do not turn off the robot or remove the USB drive during this time.
