Difference between PowerPick 20 and PowerPick 30
The only mechanical difference between PowerPick 20 and PowerPick 30 lies in the brackets. PowerPick 30 uses sturdier brackets designed to support heavier payloads and maintain structural integrity during operation.
When the upgrade is required
If your application involves boxes weighing more than 18.2 kg (40 lb), the bracket upgrade is mandatory for safe use with the UR20 robot.
Two figures come up in this conversion, and they do not describe the same thing:
25 kg is the extended payload of the UR20 robot: what the arm itself is rated to carry.
18.2 kg (40 lb) is the box weight above which the PowerPick 30 brackets become mandatory: this one is about the gripper.
So a UR20 rated for 25 kg does not, on its own, mean that PowerPick 20 brackets are suitable for boxes that heavy. Check both figures before concluding that your workcell can handle a given box.
