Introducing the 24-hour Workshop Challenge, where we put Lean Robotics to the test!

The 24 Workshop challenge is a new, 8-team event designed to put Lean Robotics principles and tools to the test.

It's not for the faint-hearted.

Eight teams containing a great mix of skillsets and expertise (drawn from early-adopters and some first-time users) will battle it out to see which of team can create the best set up --from scratch-- for 5 automated cells capable of transmission assembly.

The teams have 5 Universal Robots cobots fitted with Robotiq Grippers to play with. They will use Lean Robotics principles, which means going through the three main phases: Design, Integrate, Operate.

They will also have access to Robotiq's Insights, a real-time robot monitoring system that provides the data the teams will need to maximize cell efficiency

Here's a glimpse of the setup. I've never seen so many cobots in one place!

The Challenge kicked off at around 9:00 A.M. this morning.

We'll be checking in with some of the humans taking part, so join us
throughout the day as we bring you the latest from the 24-Hour Workshop Challenge!
