Fabtech, the largest metal fabrication show in the US, is happening in Atlanta this week. Robotiq and partners are presenting Kinetiq Teaching, a device designed to make your robotic welder fast and easy to program, even reducing the setup time between runs. We are also displaying our latest 2-Finger Adaptive Gripper.

What you'll see in Robotiq Booth #C2230

The Robotiq booth will display our full range of products: Adaptive Grippers, Force Torque sensors and Kinetiq Teaching. Our friends at Cross brought a UR robot to display our new 2-Finger 85 Adaptive Gripper on a Universal Robot arm.

Our partners Yaskawa/Motoman also provided a robot so that we can do hands on demonstrations of Kinetiq Teaching. Kinetiq Teaching is a device that can be added to their reliable arc welding robots to make it easier and faster to program with minimum training. To allow this, Kinetiq Teaching has the following two features:

  1. Ability to hand-guide the welding torch to the desired positions
  2. A user-friendly, icon-based interface that does not require any programming skills

A few aisles away from the Robotiq booth is the Yaskawa booth. In their booth you will have the chance to try Kinetiq Teaching. It will be set up as a complete cell from their ArcWorld linenup of pre-engineered welding cells. This welding machine is a great example of a turnkey system that you can put on your shop floor to start welding right away. The demo also shows how compatible Kinetiq Teaching is with their latest MA1440 welding robot and how easy the DX200 robot controller is to use with the external axis.

So, if you want to try out Kinetiq Teaching or take a closer look at any of our Grippers, stop by for a visit at Fabtech. By the way, this is also a good opportunity to get hands on expertise and maybe even some answers to those questions about your particular automation dilemma.

Looking forward to seeing you in Atlanta!
